An Article in ‘Your Business Magazine with James Caan’

The following is from an article in ‘Your Business Magazine’, multi-millionaire entrepreneur James Caan’s Magazine, speaking about our FogGuard Solution:

‘FogGuard, from Innovative Security Products, incorporates best-of-class security fogging,CCTV, wireless intruder detection, crystal-clear digital two-way audio and can be remote controlled from anywhere in the world. Options include forensic marking and GPRS tracking in the portable version. The system, which is manufactured in the UK, has been developed by a team of industry experts with more than 100 years’ experience in the security sector, and is a true innovative solution
for many of the issues facing retailers and commercial customers alike.

Remote solution
FogGuard works by reacting to an alarm activation or personal attack alarm from the onboard wireless detection system or the existing wired solution already on site. Once activated, the system instantly sends CCTV images to the fully accredited BS5979 FogGuard Conflict Management Centre (CMC)and simultaneously opens a two-way digital audio communications path so the CMC operators can look and listen to the event in real time. On reviewing the event, the fully trained accredited and licenced CMC operator will announce themselves in accordance with client specific protocols to decelerate any abusive and violent behavior or to drive away a would-be intruder.

Tried and tested
In normal circumstances, the operator will announce themselves by saying, “Security. Which service do you require?” In many cases this decelerates any abuse aimed at the employee on site, and generally drives any intruder from the site. In the unlikely event that the abuse continues, the CMC operator will use tried and proven techniques to decelerate the event; if this cannot be achieved, the police or other emergency services will be deployed and the site will be informed that help is on its way.

The FogGuard unit offers a new innovative solution to the security industry and the end user. In an intruder scenario, the CMC operator will ask the potential intruder to identify themselves, generally by requesting the site password. If they can’t provide identification, they are then asked to leave the site immediately. If they refuse, the high density security fog is deployed remotely from the CMC. If the forensic marking option has been installed that will also be deployed to mark the intruder for greater detection and evidential purposes to ensure a better result in the courts.’

Company Culture Award

As many of you know I have been receiving business and motivation coaching from Jon Asquith, Action Coach, who is one of the best business coaches in the UK.

We are looking at developing and growing the business rapidly and to do this we have reviewed and improved most of the systems that we use within the business.

With those systems in place and measurement being deployed the biggest and most important factor for growth is the development and motivation of the team and we have been working really hard to ensure that the team at HQ and out in the field are being developed in a more inclusive way.

It was with great pleasure that we recently took part in a 90 day Growth Club planning day with the team and other companies and won the Team Development Award, which was a total surprise for me but really goes to show what effort the team have put in.

BT Announcement – Switching Off Copper Locations

BT Openreach have today announced dates for 2021 which will see circa. 200 exchanges move into ‘Stop Sell’ status.

This means that the exchange will no longer sell copper/analogue lines from those exchanges and that any additional lines, upgrades, moves or switching of communication providers will result in only fibre/digital lines being made available.

It is generally understood that once the ‘Stop Sell’ status has been achieved by BT, which means that 75% of the exchange is digital, then we have 6 months to migrate any analogue products to IP.

Our advice is that if you have Analogue Alarm Signalling, StaffGuard Conflict Management Systems or Staff Attack Systems then you need to consider a migration path now.
